Policies
Physical access to the main collection of the MBLWHOI Library is open to the public Monday - Friday during staffed hours.
Remote access and after hours access to the library is restricted to Woods Hole Scientific Community affiliated patrons.
Patrons holding a valid MBLWHOI Library card may borrow, renew or recall MBLWHOI Library books. Patrons may sign out books for the duration of their affiliation, or one year, whichever comes first. Books must remain in the vicinity of Woods Hole and are subject to recalls. Serials, Special Collections, Archives and Rare Books do not circulate.

MBL Archives and Rare Books
Access to the Rare Books Rooms and MBL Archives is available under the supervision of the Library Director or the MBL Archivist by prior arrangement. Please contact the Archivist for more information.
