Requesting a Book or an Article from Another Library
Interlibrary loan services are available to members of the Woods Hole scientific community holding a valid Access Card. Requests for items may be made using our online form. To request a book or document online, please go to the interlibrary loan form. For more information, please see our interlibrary loan policies.
Electronic Delivery of Articles
The Library now offers remote access to your interlibrary loan documents. When we receive the article you requested, we send you an e-mail with instructions on how to download the article from a web site. This added feature allows you to read your interlibrary loan requests from anywhere in the world.
Requesting a Book 24/7
If you are interested in borrowing a book that the Library does not have, you may use the Virtual Catalog. The Virtual Catalog allows you to search for books at a number of libraries in the region. Books are usually delivered within a few days.
Photocopy Services
Members of the Woods Hole scientific community holding a valid Access Card may request photocopying services from the Library. Go to the photocopy request form to order photocopies. You will need to provide an account number. If you wish to use a personal credit card, please call the Digital Processing Center at 508-289-7203.
Interlibrary Loan to Other Libraries
Please note that we only do interlibrary loan to other libraries, not individuals. If you are a library interested in getting something from us via interlibrary loan, please see our borrowing information.
