Agreement to Extend Author's Rights in Copyright Transfer (adopted 09/06/2005)
The "Agreement to Extend Author's Rights," a document that gives Woods Hole authors and their employing institutions non-exclusive rights to use, distribute, and reproduce material in electronic digital or print form in activities connected with the author's academic and professional activities has been unanimously adopted by the Boston Library Consortium's Board of Directors (MBLWHOI Library is a member). We encourage the Woods Hole scientific community to sign and attach this amendment to all publishing contracts. Questions? Contact us:

The agreement, initially developed at MIT, a Consortium member, is available for downloading in .doc or .pdf format:
This amendment also supports placement of material in institutional repositories such as the Woods Hole Open Access Server (WHOAS).
