To get a list of all WHOI technical reports, memoranda, unnumbered reports and theses:

• Under Basic Search
• In the “Find this” search box type: WHOI
• In the “Find it in” search box select: Subject Headings (browse)
• Click the search button or hit return/enter on your keyboard

To search within these categories

• Select: Keyword/Advanced Search
• In the first “Search for” box, type the WHOI
• In the next “Search for” box, type your keyword, author name, year, etc.
• Change the pulldown menu in the second "Search in" box to the appropriate field.

Examples:

WHOI dissertations from 1976

• In the “Search for” box type: WHOI theses
• In the next “Search for” box type: 1976
• Change the drop down selection in the second “Search in” box from “Key words anywhere” to “Date, Publisher or Place”
• Click the search button or hit return/enter on your keyboard

• In the “Search for” box type: WHOI technical
• In the next “Search for” box type: Mavor
• Change the drop down selection in the second “Search in” box from “Key words anywhere” to “Author (keyword)”
• Click the search button or hit return/enter on your keyboard
